2012 has been a very hectic year as there have been family matters that have required my attention; however, I am offering the scarf class so many have asked about. The class is called
A Scarf Above The Ordinary; April 14, At A Sewing Basket in Salado, TX 11 AM to 5 PM. This is a kitted class so besides your sewing machine there is very little you will need to gather for this class. You will learn several techniques to make scarves by sewing machine using theads, yarns, etc. The cost of this class includes the kit, and access to many of my embellishments and some threads letting you try new techniques without investing in very many supplies. Please contact A Sewing Basket,Salado, TX, 254-947-5423, for more information. Upon signing up for the class you will receive the supply list for this scarf class, A Scarf Above the Ordinary.
For the many of you who have asked me to teach a landscape class, it is in the development stage. I always welcome your questions concerning one of my classes. You can E-mail me at cparkersew@embarqmail.com

Just finished the last day of the Art Quilt/Mixed Media class at A Sewing Basket in Salado, TX. Ladies you were wonderful. Absolutely loved your "What would happen if?" attitude! Cathy you were missed. These ladies(Donna, Mary, Becky, and Deb) were presented with my "Official Embellishment Certification" making them official "Embellishers"---what fun.
Have a Collage/Art Jacket Class coming up in November at A Sewing Basket in Salado. It will be on two consecutive Saturdays. If you do not care to do a jacket, you can use the same techniques to do a wall hanging.
Happy sewing to all. Don't be afraid to try new techniques in your sewing or quilting. Sometimes a whole new world may open up to you.
